This coating offers the best saturation and contrast without the drawbacks of high gloss. We use a machine to coat the canvas. We do not use sprays and rollers which can leave a spotty or uneven finish. Our process enhances the image and makes the surface uniform. It prolongs the life of the image and protects against fingerprints, smudges, abrasions and offers complete UV protection.

Richard, a self-taught artist, discovered his passion for the arts at the age of seven years, when he won an art contest in school. Upon Graduation from high school, he planned to enroll in an artist academy, but he enlisted in the Army and began his career to dedicate and serve. He married his high school sweetheart and together they raised a family. Life’s path took him down many roads but he was never without his art. Richard’s career was a military solider and then peace officer in law enforcement. While providing dedication and service to others he was able to find solace in his art.
He continued to challenge his skills by venturing into many mediums and showing his work locally. For the last twenty years Richard turned his attention to a more creative career in Water Feathers. He designed, built and consulted in projects world wide. His natural talent and creativity served him well and brought him back to his passion for the arts. It has taken a life time filled with family, service to others, and self exploration but he never lost sight of his love for art. Now retired Richard is a full time artist dedicating his time to his work. His work has been used in publications, shown in galleries and commissioned from the military and private collectors. Richards works in all mediums and maintains a trueness to his art and love of realism
In 1982 Fred began his "full time" art career painting large murals around the Northwest. In 1997 landscape painters Tom Szewc and Ovanes Berbarian introduced Fred to plein air painting. Since then his full time passion has been painting the Southern Idaho landscape.
Fred grew up in Southern Idaho, which has a wonderful diversity of subject matter. Within a one-hour drive from his home in Boise you can find deep canyons, deserts, alpine lakes and farmlands. He is beginning to find, however, that it is the relationship of water to the land that really fascinates him. No two bodies of water refract and reflect light in the same way. Attempting to capture this elusive quality of water is what keeps painting exciting for Fred.
